Key duties & responsibilities:
- Crafting and maintaining specifications for finished products and raw materials.
- Collaborating closely with the NPD team to ensure food safety criteria and systems align with our standards for new products.
- Nurturing our computerized traceability system.
- Approving new suppliers joining our business.
- Upholding the company VACCP system and material supply chains.
- Providing cover for the QA Officer when needed.
- Assisting in the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
- Participating in both internal and external audits, including conducting compliance audits.
- Conducting staff training on food safety procedures.
What are we looking for?
- 3rd level qualification in Food or related discipline or valuable experience from a similar role in the Food Industry.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and a keen awareness of quality standards are paramount.
- Essential to this role are excellent IT and communication skills, and a bonus would be a good understanding of the food industry and experience with meat processes.
