What you need to know
Our client, a medical regulated manufacturing company in the Healthcare sector is seeking a QC Microbiologist for its state-of-the-art facility in Co. Roscommon.
Our client is focused on continual growth and are looking for a candidate that will match the companies’ values of growth and product development.
In this role you will be reporting directly to the Quality Systems Specialist and on a day-to-day basis you will be carrying out Microbiological and environmental testing in line with the companies’ targets/KPIS.
This is a permanent position with the working hours based on a day shift Monday to Friday basis with a competitive salary on offer and excellent benefits.
Your new job
Responsibilities:
Carrying out daily microbiology laboratory monitoring, routine media preparation & sterilization in an efficient manner.
Routine microbiological analysis of Growth promotion tests, maintenance of microbial culture and culture suspension.
Sample collection and testing of purified water / WFI routine samples to ensure compliance with specifications.
Testing of sterile routine samples provided by the Production facility to ensure compliance with BET specification.
Involved with the environment monitoring of the microbiology laboratory & production facility according to monitoring schedule & review routine and annual environmental monitoring data for compliance to specifications.
Carrying out investigations on product failures and customer complaints, reporting Non-Conformities and Out of Spec Results to the Quality Control Manager and Production Manager.
Gather, monitor, and trend data associated with agreed KPIs (Key Process Indicators) and report these results to the Management.
What are we looking for?
Third level qualification in Microbiology
Knowledge of cGMP and ISO standards
One years’ experience testing in a medical device background would be a major advantage.
Good communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong organisational and planning skills.
