This is a rare opportunity to work for a trusted household brand with a proud heritage and growing international presence. Our client is now seeking to recruit a confident production supervisor/teamlead who enjoys leading people, solving problems, driving standards, and delivering results in a fast-paced food production environment.
YOUR NEW JOB
You will be a critical member of the Operations team, responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while leading and developing a high-performing team. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on operational performance, continuous improvement, and the success of a well-established and growing food manufacturing business.
Production & Operational Leadership
Lead day-to-day production activities to deliver production plans, output targets, quality standards, and operational KPIs.
Coordinate staffing, workflow, and production schedules to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and operational performance.
Allocate work, set priorities, and ensure performance standards are consistently achieved.
Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives and Encourage team participation in process improvement activities.
Ensure safe working practices at all times and maintain strong safety focus at all times.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, hygiene, allergen control, and GMP requirements.
Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Work closely with Quality teams to investigate and resolve quality issues
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position in a medium to large manufacturing organisation.
Knowledge and experience of BRC, FSSC 22000, or ISO 9001
Product compliance experience.
Continuous Improvement / operational Excellence experience beneficial.
Supervisory experience in a shift-based manufacturing environment
Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, or regulated production environments will be highly advantageous.
Full job spec available for interested candidates. This is a shift position as part of the production team onsite.
