  • Bespoke design and manufacture

  • Jigs and fixtures

  • CNC-machined components

  • Plastics and stainless steel fabrication.

  • This is a hands-on environment with real variety, where no two projects are the same.


What are we looking for
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our growing team in Waterford. This is a hands-on role requiring proficiency in welding, cutting, and shaping metal components from engineering drawings. The ideal candidate will take pride in producing high-quality fabricated assemblies and structures to precise specifications.
Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate metal components, assemblies, and structures from engineering drawings and specifications

  • Previous use of fibre laser an advantage but not essential

  • Perform MIG, TIG, and/or MMA welding to a high standard

  • Use cutting, grinding, bending, and forming equipment

  • Carry out fitting and assembly of fabricated parts

  • Inspect finished work for dimensional accuracy and weld quality

  • Set up and operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area

  • Work collaboratively with engineering teams to meet project deadlines

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Metal Fabricator / Welder (minimum 2–3 years)

  • Strong welding skills — MIG and/or TIG welding to a high standard

  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols

  • Experience using angle grinders, plasma cutters, bending machines, and hand tools

  • Understanding of material types including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium

  • Relevant trade qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience

  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus

  • Commitment to safe working practices

Desirable

  • FETAC/QQI or City & Guilds welding certification
