Matrix Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Marketing and Business Development Specialist for our client who is based in Laois.

In this position, you will develop and implement the marketing strategy, profiling member and customers’ needs and aligning products and services to meet those needs. This job will suit you if you are seeking a position where you can get stuck in and really drive a marketing strategy and make an impact.

This is a permanent position. Option to work 1-2 days per week from home.

Your new job:
Key duties & responsibilities:
  • Design and implement marketing campaigns to increase loans and memberships.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to develop the overall marketing strategy.
  • Assess the market and member groups, evaluating current offerings and competitors.
  • Manage social media and ad campaigns, maintain the website, and oversee member onboarding.
  • Manage the overall brand image, ensuring consistent communication and reputation.
  • Monitor website activity and manage Google Analytics and Google Ads accounts.
  • Optimise marketing and promotional spending by monitoring effectiveness and adjusting as needed.
  • Coordinate with Operations to launch and communicate product benefits.
  • Develop plans for marketing and business development to drive income and product uptake.
  • Review and evaluate product and service performance in meeting member needs and generating income.
  • Develop strong relationships with communities, businesses, and third-party providers.
  • Assess innovative financial products and services for potential member impact.
  • Handle member engagement opportunities, such as information nights and seminars.
  • Explore and develop new products and services offers across banking lines, working with the management team.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings as required.
  • Ad-hoc duties to meet role requirements as required.

What are we looking for?
  • Prior marketing experience in a customer-focused environment, ideally in financial services or lending.
  • Relevant professional qualification in marketing or digital media.
  • Strong IT skills and commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Self-starter with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety compliance.
  • Clean driving license preferred.
