Our client is a well-established manufacturing company operating as part of a successful and growing group of companies. Ongoing development and expansion has meant our client has grown to become one of the leading companies in its field in Ireland.
We are now seeking experienced candidates for the role of Maintenance Manager based at the Waterford facility.
YOUR NEW JOB
Candidates will be experienced technical professionals with strong hands on experience managing a maintenance team and working with high speed packaging equipment within food / manufacturing / beverage sector.
Engineering Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor and develop a skilled maintenance and engineering team.
Drive performance, accountability and continuous improvement.
Manage workforce planning, attendance, shift coverage and succession development.
Co-ordinate and manage external contractors.
Asset Reliability & Maintenance Strategy
Develop and execute preventative maintenance programmes to maximise equipment availability and minimise downtime.
Oversee maintenance planning, CMMS management and engineering documentation.
Lead root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions to improve reliability.
Operational Support & Technical Excellence
Provide technical leadership during breakdowns and production-critical issues.
Apply strong troubleshooting and fault-finding expertise across mechanical and electrical systems.
Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all plant equipment, utilities and infrastructure.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
Lead capital projects, equipment upgrades, installations and commissioning activities.
Drive engineering improvements through data analysis and KPI management.
Identify opportunities to enhance performance, efficiency and reliability across the site.
Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
Champion a strong engineering safety culture.
Ensure compliance with all statutory inspections, engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
Lead risk assessments and enforce safe systems of work, including permit-to-work and lockout/tagout procedures.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
3rd Level Engineering or Trade Qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a maintenance leadership role.
Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing and production equipment.
Proven experience managing preventative maintenance systems and engineering teams.
Full job spec available to interested candidates.
