We are recruiting for a Lab Technician role for our client based in North Co. Tipperary. This company is a nationwide leading manufacturer that has facilities operating across the country that is continually focussing on growth. Your new job

• Monitoring quality and product compliance

• Carrying out Microbiological testing on samples and water

• Responsible for visual inspection and microbiological swabbing…

• Collecting samples for tests such as Elisa and antibiotic testing at external labs and manage all the relevant paperwork associated with this.

• Preparation and sending out of samples for external analysis and ensure paperwork in line with this is completed.

• Carry out routine laboratory testing and sampling in line with all statutory and customer standards.

• Assist in chemical checks, carcass checks and label checks.

• Always focus on remaining compliant with Bord Bia, BRC and MPQAS standards.

• Working alongside DAFM officials in relation to compliance and regulatory standards.

What are we looking for?

• Degree qualified in Food Science/Food Technology.

• Ideally have 1 years’ experience in laboratory testing or you’re at a graduate level.

• Strong knowledge of Bord Bia, Regulatory and Customer requirements.

• Fluency in English verbally and written.

• Experience in dealing with supplier audits and visits.

• Strong IT Skills.

• Proactive in their approach to ensuring that continuous improvement is maintained and improved.
