What You Need to Know:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor to make real impact within a well-established organisation. You’ll play a hands-on role in supporting the delivery of HSE initiatives across manufacturing and construction activities, championing a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Your New Job:
Reporting to the Health, Safety & Environment Manager, you’ll be actively involved on-site, engaging with management and operational teams. Your focus will be on providing expert guidance, ensuring compliance, and promoting best practices in all HSE matters.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee and promote the implementation of company HSE policies
Advise management and teams on all aspects of health, safety, and environmental legislation
Conduct regular site inspections and audits, providing detailed reports and recommendations
Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and preventative actions
Review and approve safety content of method statements
Assist in ISO 14001 and 45001 audits
Identify and deliver HSE training needs within operational teams
Support waste management initiatives and safe systems of work
Liaise with external stakeholders and authorities as required
What Are We Looking For?:
Proven experience in HSE roles within manufacturing and/or construction settings
Recognised qualification (NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent)
Experience with audits, inspections, and incident investigations
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Ability to work independently and take a proactive approach
Strong risk awareness and a solutions-focused mindset
ISO 45001/14001 auditing experience and NEBOSH Construction Certificate are an advantage
