Estimator
What You Need to Know:
Here’s a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving team focused on architectural precast concrete cladding. This Estimator position is based at a Dublin facility, where you’ll become part of a supportive, expert group, all dedicated to delivering top-quality results and innovative solutions.
Your New Job:
As an Estimator reporting to the Head of Estimating, you’ll play a key role in pre- and post-sales activities. You’ll be involved in multiple projects, collaborating closely with other team members to create accurate cost advice and high-quality tender submissions. This role covers all aspects of the estimating and commercial process, right through to handing over projects to the delivery team for seamless execution.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed estimates, budgets, and cost plans
Accurately measure façades and panelise schemes
Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contracts
Assess material, labour, and equipment costs
Analyse quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers
Prepare documentation and compile tender submissions
Attend pre-, mid-, and post-tender meetings
Provide cost advice to various stakeholders
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other contractors
What Are We Looking For?:
Technical background in Architecture or Engineering
Minimum 3 years’ experience with a contractor or PQS practice
Strong communication skills and ability to manage several projects
Comfortable using IT equipment and learning new software
Familiarity with various contract forms
3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics (Degree/Diploma)
