Your New Job:
You’ll be responsible for both production planning and overseeing dispatch operations, working hands-on with a supportive team. This is a full-time role (40-45 hours per week) and will see you taking control, making improvements, and leading by example. Initiative, flexibility, and excellent communication are essential, as you’ll interact with diverse colleagues and ensure plans run smoothly.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Create production plans and schedules to hit targets and fulfil daily customer orders
Monitor and maintain stock levels, build pallet orders, and lift boxes (20-25kg)
Address customer queries and ensure orders are picked, rotated, and loaded correctly
Uphold strict quality, hygiene, food safety, and manual handling standards
Keep dispatch areas clean and audit-ready at all times
Use PCs for scheduling, labelling, and dispatching product
Lead and train your team, enforcing standards across shifts
Handle loading/unloading of vehicles within safety guidelines
What Are We Looking For?:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in food production (beef/sheep experience a plus)
Confident using PCs and fluent in English (written and spoken)
Self-disciplined, structured, and proactive in making improvements
Flexibility and ability to work on own initiative
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Experience with electric pallet trucks and the meat industry is an advantage
