Our client is a well established progressive precision engineering company operating from a modern manufacturing facility, producing complex, high-precision components for customers worldwide. The company combines advanced technology with exceptional engineering expertise.
The company are now seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join their technical team onsite.
YOUR NEW ROLE- Programming: Write and edit CNC programs using G-code and CAM software. Optimize feeds, speeds, and toolpaths for complex features (castings, manifold blocks) .
- Machine Setup: Set part datums, work holding, fixtures, and tooling. Load and prove programs. Run first-article inspection to drawing.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve machining issues, tool wear, surface finish problems, and tolerance drift. Adjust parameters to hold spec.
- Process Improvement: Recommend tooling changes, cutting strategies, and fixture improvements to reduce cycle times and improve repeatability.
- Documentation & Handover: Record proven setups, tool lists, and offsets. Hand over running jobs to operators with clear instructions.
- Quality & Safety: Follow all quality and health & safety procedures. Maintain housekeeping standards.
- 2+ years CNC programming and setting experience
- Strong G-code and CAM proficiency (Mastercam or similar)
- Deep blueprint reading, GD&T, and tight-tolerance experience
- Proven ability to independently set up and prove out complex parts
- Experience with castings or manifold-type work advantageous.
