Our client is seeking a Clinical Nurse - GP Medic Bag Coordinator to join their progressive and dynamic nursing team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Regularly check the contents of GP medic bags to ensure that supplies are fully stocked.
- Place orders for new medical supplies and medications when stock levels are low.
- Ensure medications, vaccines, and sterile supplies are not expired, and replace them as necessary.
- Refill GP bags with essential equipment and medications according to protocols.
- Ensure that the contents of the medic bags comply with standard operating procedures and clinical guidelines.
- Ensure all sterile items, such as syringes, dressings, and gloves, are properly packaged and handled.
- Ensure all medications and supplies are clearly labelled and stored appropriately.
- Ensure that medical devices (e.g., blood pressure monitors, thermometers) are clean, functional, and properly calibrated.
- Replace batteries or ensure that rechargeable equipment is ready for use.
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of supplies.
- Inform the GP or clinical manager about any supply shortages, damaged items, or other concerns.
- Keep accurate records of stock levels, orders, and supplies provided to each GP.
- Follow proper procedures for the safe disposal of expired or unused medications.
- Ensure that all actions taken meet health and safety standards and that hazardous materials are handled according to guidelines.
- Ensure that medic bags are adequately equipped with emergency medications and equipment.
- Address any specific requests from GPs for additional or specialized supplies.
- Participate in internal audits to ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulations regarding medical supplies.

- Current NMBI General Nurse Registration
- Proficiency in computer skills
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently
