What you need to know
We are recruiting an Assistant Accountant for our client, a globally-recognised manufacturing company based in Carlow.
As Assistant Accountant, you will join a dynamic team and will report directly to the Head of Finance.
This is a permanent role.
Your new job
Key duties & responsibilities:
Responsible for bank reconciliation of all bank accounts including multi-currency
Maintain fixed asset register and capital expenditure records
Responsible for preparing weekly KPI reports for management review
Assist AP and AR teams
Prepare weekly payroll reports
Assist with audits
Assist with the preparation of management accounts and statutory financial accounts
Ad hoc duties as required
What are we looking for?
2–3 years’ experience in a similar role
Knowledge of MS Office and accounting software – Excel
Excellent interpersonal skills – have the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving, verbal and written skills
An interest in pursuing or already a part-qualified accountant working towards a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
