You will work as an Accounts Assistant for our client based in Co. Roscommon
As the Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for assisting the Financial Controller in the processing accounts payable, receivable, account reconciliation and month end journals.
This is a permanent job based close to Roscommon Town.
Office Hours Mon-Fri 9-5pm

Key duties & responsibilities:
Processing all sales and purchases invoices are entered accurately in a timely manner
Maintaining accurate Debtors, Creditors and General Ledgers
Preparation of bank reconciliations.
Preparation of monthly commission reports
Preparing and submitting VAT returns and payments.
Processing monthly end journals
Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts,
Various ad-hoc duties and reports.
What are we looking for?
At least 3 years’ previous work experience ideally within industry.
3rd level diploma/degree is ideal.
Strong IT Skills: Microsoft Office Applications
Sage experience would be advantageous.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
