What you need to know

A leading company who manufactures high value injection moulded packaging and components are currently seeking a committed, and diligent Toolmaker to join their team in Co. Longford.

You will report directly to the Toolroom Manager and will be responsible for the routine preventative maintenance of tools as scheduled.

This is a permanent role with an excellent salary and package.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Carry out regular and preventative maintenance on tools according to the established schedule.

  • Thoroughly examine all parts to ensure they meet printing tolerances.

  • Take charge of producing and maintaining jigs and fixtures, as well as handling maintenance on injection moulding auxiliary equipment in collaboration with the machine supplier.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in understanding and implementing quality standards, utilizing toolroom inspection tools, and generating necessary reports.

  • Set a positive example for colleagues by adhering to safe work practices.

  • Fulfil any additional tasks as assigned.
     

What are we looking for?

  • A Toolmaking Qualification is a must.

  • Experience in an injection mould making environment.

  • Experience in a Medical Device background or a similar regulated environment.

  • Possess the ability to read and understand blueprints.

  • The ability to work well in cross functional teams to meet business goals.

  • Strong team player with the ability to work well in a team while also possessing the ability to be proactive.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence others in a positive manner.
