HISTORY

WBS Recruitment was set up in 1998 in Waterford.  Kieran McKeown, Managing Director (and one of the original founders), was a former Financial Controller of Bausch & Lomb (sunglass plant) in Waterford. With his expertise and industry experience the business went from strength to strength. Due to this success we decided to expand our geographical scope and in 2001 we opened an office in Tullamore.  We discovered that there was an even greater opportunity in the Midlands, as most of our potential customers required a recruitment service to cover all sectors. As a result, Matrix Recruitment was officially launched in Tullamore, Co. Offaly in September 2001.

Since its launch, Matrix Recruitment has enjoyed steady growth and is now one of the market leaders in the recruitment sector in the Midlands and South East. In May 2004, we expanded our Matrix services to our existing Waterford office, offering a complete recruitment service for WBS and Matrix Recruitment in both our Tullamore and Waterford branches. In 2006, we further strengthened our presence in the Midlands and South East with the opening of new offices in both Athlone and Carlow. We now offer a complete recruitment service in all our offices. In 2007, the MATRIX RECRUITMENT GROUP was announced. Since February 2011, WBS has now been rebranded to Matrix Accountancy in line with the MATRIX RECRUITMENT GROUP.
