Fiona Hughes

Fiona holds a degree in Economics & French(Joint Hons) and a post graduate in Economic Science from UCC where she graduated in 2003.

She has 6 years professional experience in providing high-level administration support in accounting, office administration and recruitment.

With previous experience of working in the area of HR Support Services and Payroll within a large multinational corporation, Fiona had responsibility for the formal process of recruitment and management of the Manufacturing Temporary Labour Force. She independently managed and coordinated the entire temporary labour work force of 300 General Operatives and Technicians from contract commencement to termination, including the weekly payroll.

Fiona will continue to provide Payroll services and will assist in on-site HR Support Services to our clients.

Lisa Kenneally

Lisa Kenneally has recently joined The Matrix Recruitment Group in a HR Support Services capacity providing HR support to some of Matrix's key clients.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (Hons) Degree specialising in Human Resources Management.
Lisa has worked as a HR Generalist for 12 years in a variety of industries and has gained valuable experience in many areas including; HR Business Partner Support, Recruitment and Selection and Performance Management. 
Lisa will continue to provide efficient and effective on-site HR Support Services to our clients and staff.

Nichola Hughes

Nichola recently joined Matrix Recruitment as the company accountant with responsibility for all Matrix offices.

Having completed a BA (Hons) in Business Information Systems, Nichola trained as a chartered accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and has over 10 years experience working in both practice and industry.

With experience in domestic and multinational companies in the manufacturing, pharmaceutical and service industries, Nichola has excellent insight into the financial needs of companies operating in today’s business environment.

Kieran McKeown

Kieran is a Senior Technical Recruiter and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has been a member of the South East branch for the past 14 years. Kieran has over 20 years of industry experience in various accountancy roles from Cost Accountant to Financial Controller and spent his final 2 years in this sector as a Distribution Manager. Kieran has worked with Unidare, General Electric, Loctite (Henkel), Akzo Pharma (Schering) and Bausch & Lomb.

In 1998 Kieran embarked on his recruitment career when he set up WBS Recruitment as a specialist accountancy recruitment company. In 2002 he established the MATRIX RECRUITMENT GROUP to include Technical, Office and Matrix Services.

Kieran works across all divisions, concentrating on senior level roles in all sectors with particular emphasis on the technical side. He also is a Key Account Manager for a number of new clients and has been the project leader for the new Coca-Cola facility in Wexford town.

Kylie Tobin

Kylie holds a Masters in Business Studies specialising in Marketing from Waterford Institute of Technology. She also holds a Higher Diploma in Business Studies from NUIG. After graduating Kylie began her career in the recruitment industry. She started recruiting for Matrix Office.  She worked for a number of years in Ireland before she decided to see more of the world. She travelled and worked in Australia. Here she was a Senior IT Recruitment Consultant for some internationally renowned recruitment agencies.

Kylie returned back to Ireland and started working as an Internal Sourcing Consultant in a global IT company. Here she sourced candidates from Ireland, UK, Northern EMEA, Benelux, Bulgaria and Russia for Senior roles including IT, IT Technical Support, IT Sales, General sales, Marketing, and Alliance. Kylie has since returned back to the Deise and took up her role in Matrix.

Kylie is a 360 degree recruiter she recruits for all IT roles & IT Sales,  in a range of industry sectors. She has recruited for clients from small start ups to multinationals companies. She is innovative in her approach to recruiting and identifies qualified candidates through creative channels such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google +, User Groups, Network, and Conferences etc.

Kylie has project managed large recruitment drives for clients and has been involved in designing and implementing Group Assessment Centres. She has an ethical approach to recruiting and takes a lot of pride in her work. She strongly believes in the importance of being consultative both with clients and candidates. She is highly motivated and attends networking events as she is keen to continue to build a strong network of contacts.

Lisa Popplewell

Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film & Television and a diploma in Media and journalism. Since graduating, she has worked within the recruitment sector focusing on the digital area and developing her expertise in the field itself.

Recently returning from a digital agency in London, Lisa has joined Matrix Recruitment group as a digital consultant, both recruiting in the field and devising strategic online marketing campaigns.

During her career within the digital recruitment area, Lisa has developed an in-depth knowledge and recruited globally within the sector. She attends various  networking events and seminars to keep on top of the constantly evolving digital arena and to provide sound advice to both candidates and clients alike on the current market.

Lisa is responsible for devising and implementing Matrix recruitment group’s online marketing campaigns with both a focus on attracting new talent and business development. She specializes in digital strategy, social media, search marketing – organic & paid, affiliate campaigns, email, eCRM, acquisition & retention marketing.

Hazel O’Brien

Hazel joined The MATRIX RECRUITMENT GROUP in 2007 as a technical recruiter, bringing over 7 years of Industry experience and knowledge.

Hazel holds a Degree in Applied Chemistry and Quality management from Waterford IT. This hands-on applied course is widely recognised by recruiters as one of excellent standards, producing top class qualified graduates.

Hazel began her career as an R&D Analyst in Teva Pharmaceuticals, Waterford. While in this role, she became an expert on analytical techniques used in pharmaceutical testing. Hazel then moved onto a Quality Manager role in Shamrock Aluminium Ltd. Here she was responsible for the set up, achievement and maintenance of the ISO9001:2000 quality management system. Hazel also used her Chemistry degree to provide technical support to customers, travelling all over the US and Europe to meet customers and discuss their needs and requirements.

After two years, Hazel moved onto a Kilkenny based food company, Rednut Limited, a dry extruded pet food manufacturer. As the Quality manager she set up the food quality management system, achieving and maintaining Grade A status. She was also responsible for managing the on site laboratory, where state of the art equipment was in place to ensure the product met the quality and food safety requirements. Rednut Limited have sophisticated laboratory instruments in place, such as the NIR and YSI2700 select and also carry out a wide range of wet chemistry tests. Over two years later, Hazel joined the Matrix Recruitment Group.

Hazel is an integral part of the technical team providing unique solutions across the Food, Pharmaceutical and Medical Device sectors.
